Best of Midwest: In last weekend’s “Best of Midwest” basketball tournament, the Lawrence Cougars won the seventh-grade division. Team members were Andrew Ballock, P.J. Budenbender, Mike Burton, Connor Henrichs, Narito Mendez, Dylan McKee and Bryce Montes de Oca. Montes de Oca was also named Overall Tournament MVP. The team is coached by Cougar Downing.

Orchards Leagues: An all-ages Duffers League for men and women is held at 5 p.m. on Wednesdays at the Orchards Golf Course. Also, a Senior League meeting will be at 9 a.m. Friday at the course. Seniors play on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For information, call Ed White at 843-7456.
