Ann Niccum, longtime production manager at Free State Studios, has been promoted to director of video media for The World Company’s Media Division.

Niccum assumed the position March 1, said Patrick Knorr, The World Company’s chief operating officer. In addition to Free State Studios, Niccum oversees the company’s KTKA TV station in Topeka, Lawrence Channel 6 and online video products, Knorr said. She has been with The World Company for 20 years.

In addition, Knorr announced that Neil Rasmussen has been promoted to take over production duties of Free State Studios and Channel 6. Rasmussen will retain duties as video technical analyst as well as oversee the day-to-day operations of Channel 6 as production manager. He has been with Free State since 1996.

Jacquelin Zammuto, who coordinates all productions in the commercial production group, will continue as project coordinator but now also serves as the group supervisor, Knorr said. She began as an intern at Free State in 2007 and moved to full-time a year ago.
