Resident appointed to military board

A Kansas National Guard officer from Lawrence has been appointed to the Kansas Military Disability Board.

Col. Scott Dold was one of three officers appointed to the board by Gov. Kathleen Sebelius. The board determines an applicant’s percentage of total disability, and awards compensation for disability or death in accordance with state law.

Dold is the senior legal adviser and staff judge advocate in the Kansas Adjutant General’s department.

Also appointed to the board were Brig. Gen. John Davoren, Lansing, assistant adjutant general — Army and commander of the Kansas Army National Guard; and Col. John Andrew, Topeka, deputy commander of the Kansas Army National Guard.
