Lawrence High senior Dorian Green was named the Sunflower League’s player of the year this week.

Green, one of three Lawrence players to earn all-league honors, averaged 22.6 points per game for the Lions (13-9) this season and was among the team leaders in several other categories including assists, rebounds, steals and blocks.

Green — one of five first-teamers — was joined on the all-league squad by LHS senior Lance Kilburn, the Lions’ second leading scorer. Kilburn was named third-team all-SFL.

LHS senior guard Bobby Davis, Free State junior Nick Hassig and sophomore Eric Watson earned honorable mention.
