University Bridge Club announces results of its March 8 meeting. Hosts were Tom and Cathy Waller.

Blue winners were Hazel Stellmacher, first; Ruth Harwood, second; Darlene Schneider, third; Harold Riehm, fourth; and Dan Harden, fifth.

Pink winners were Karen Zimmerer, first; Willi Stark, second; Bebe Huxtable, third; Florence McNicoll, fourth; and Mary Jo Spotts, fifth.

The Wednesday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on March 4 was directed by Chris Lane. North-South winners were Harry Shaffer and Bobby Patton, first in A and B; Betty Collier and Klee Zaricky, second in A and B; and Sally Taylor and Chris Lane tied in third in A and B with Janice Hollowell and Bebe Huxtable.

East-West winners were David Piro and Paul Heitzman, first in A; Lois Clark and Shirley Reese, second in A and first in B; Mary Mertz and Shari Krentzel, third in A and second in B; and Patricia Lechtenberg and Angie Davidson, first in C.

The Thursday Morning Duplicate Mentor Club’s game on March 5 utilized an individual movement and was directed by Chris Lane. Winners were Chris Lane, first; Dick Shaffer tied in second with Clarice Broz; Jean Khatib tied in fourth with Angie Davidson; Patricia Lechtenberg, sixth; and Barbara McCorkle, seventh.

The Friday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on March 6 was directed by Virginia Seaver. North-South winners were Virginia Seaver and Sally Taylor, first in A; Steve Vossler and Wanda Durbin, second in A; David Piro and Paul Heitzman, third in A; Virginia Johnston and Patricia Lechtenberg, fourth in A, first in B and C; and Don Daugherty and Harry Talley, second in B.

East-West winners were Ed Howard and Mark Osborn, first in A; Jack Flickinger and Dick Shaffer, second in A, first in B and C; Lois Clark and Catherine Blumenfeld, third in A, second in B and C; and Eldon Herd and Bobby Patton, fourth in A and third in B

The Monday Evening Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on March 9 utilized the Howell movement and was directed by Virginia Seaver. Winners were Donna Johnson and James Masiliamani, first in A; Jim Stewart and Vince Nordberg, second in A, and first in B and C; Jolene Andersen and Patrick Musick, third in A, and second in B and C; Eldon Herd and Mary Fenlon, fourth in A; and Jerry Sloan and Grant Sutton, fifth in A.
