Plenty of Hollywood glamour already endures for the ages inside Underground Vaults & Storage, but the business soon will be celebrating its own golden anniversary with a live pageant.
Underground Vaults plans to crown a Miss Salt Queen and a Ms. Salt Queen during a celebration April 24. Contestants will be evaluated on personal interviews, evening gowns and — given the business’s long-standing tradition of storing original movies and costumes for movie studios — their appearance as the movie stars of their choice.
Winners will receive cash prizes, both for themselves and their chosen charities, and the opportunity to make public appearances throughout the year on behalf of Underground Vaults and the adjacent Kansas Underground Salt Museum.
