Denver — Nuggets star Carmelo Anthony will miss Denver’s game at Detroit tonight because he has to deal with a personal matter in Denver.

Knicks sign 7-1 center

New York — The New York Knicks signed 7-foot-1 center Cheikh Samb to a 10-day contract Monday. Samb, from Senegal, averaged 0.9 points, 1.4 rebounds and 0.63 blocks in 16 games for the Clippers before he was waived Feb. 16.
