College Station, Texas ? Kansas University’s Lauren Bonds set a school record in the women’s 1,000 meters and Charity Stowers ran a top 10 national time in the women’s 600 yards on Saturday at the 2009 Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Both finished second in their respective events.

Colby Wissel, the 2007 Big 12 Champion in the men’s 3,000 meters, placed third in the event on Saturday with a season best and NCAA provisional-qualifying time of 8:04.00.
