A summer series is offering information about issues concerning seniors and caregivers during lunchtime on Thursdays.
Programs are from noon to 1 p.m. in the Lawrence Public Library’s gallery room, 707 Vt., and participants should bring a sack lunch. Drinks and a light dessert will be provided. The talks are free and no registration is necessary.
The programs for July:
• Thursday — “Doc Talk.” Lisa Mitchell, a registered nurse, will discuss how to have an efficient and informed doctor’s visit.
• July 9 — “Food and Drug Interactions.” Pat Hubbell, pharmacist, will explain why certain foods and drugs do not go well together.
• July 16 — “Telling the Stories of Healing.” Karen Roberts, nurse practitioner, will talk about the benefits of journaling.
• July 23 — “Home Computer Care.” Dreux Doty, technology manager for Midland Care Hospice Services, will talk about basic care of a computer.
• July 30 — “Exploring Grief & Loss.” Gwen McClain, bereavement counselor, will talk about the emotional, physical and psychological aspects of losing a loved one.
The series is presented by Midland Care-Hospice Services and the Lawrence Public Library Senior Outreach.
