Clark takes 2nd at K.C. Amateur

? Kansas University junior-to-be Jennifer Clark shot a final-day 75 to place second at the Kansas City Women’s Golf Amateur over the weekend.

The 75 was the best round by any player in the tournament.

Clark shot a two-round total of 159 to finish just one shot behind Lacy Shelton of Overland Park.

Clark posted three birdies on the final day at the Swope Memorial Golf Course. She was one-under par after 10 holes before closing with four pars and four bogeys to finish three over.

The Piper High product struggled on the first day with an 84, and was five shots off the pace.

Clark played in seven of KU’s 11 events last season. She posted a runner-up finish at KU’s Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational and then tied for 14th at the Johnie Imes Invitational for her top two finishes.
