The Clinton Eagles 4-H Club’s May 18 meeting was at Wakarusa Valley and was called to order by Kirstyn Heine, president. Roll call was answered by “When I am not in school, I spend most my time doing …” Aubrey Goscha and Amanda Snodgrass led the club in singing “Row, Row, Row your boat.” Morgan Manger, secretary, read the minutes from the last meeting. Tessa Lieber read the treasurer’s report.

Lanaea Heine, community leader, told the club about Camp Kick-off, Bromelsick and Dreher Memorial service and the Spring Livestock Expo. Charles Garzillo, poultry leader, told the club they would be ordering meat chickens soon. It was also announced the Clinton Lake Horse Trail clean-up would be moved to the fall. Sonja Hart announced club shirts needed to be picked up.

During old business, it was reported the Swap Meet was a successful fundraiser this year. Darian Barr moved that the meeting adjourn. The meeting ended in the saying of the club pledge and motto. Morgan Manger announced the next meeting would be June 22.

The club’s June 22 meeting was at the Shuck’s home and was called to order by Kirstyn Heine, president. Roll call was answered by “My favorite project or hobby is….?” Aubrey Goscha led the club in a song. Morgan Manger, secretary, read the minutes from the last meeting. Donovan Barr read the treasurer’s report.

Lanaea Heine, community leader, told the club about fair enrollment, fair volunteer sign-up sheets, Horticulture Fun Camp and the club tour. The sign-up sheet for participating in the club tour was passed around during the meeting. Rod Heine announced the club would sponsor the purchase of an animal at the livestock auction again this year. Donations are needed. Darian Barr moved that the meeting adjourn. The meeting ended in the saying of the club pledge and motto. Morgan Manger announced the next meeting would be July 26 at the Lieber’s home following the club tour. A potluck will follow the meeting. Each family is asked to bring a covered dish.
