Agriculture futures were mixed Thursday. July wheat slid 6.75 cents to $5.33; July corn lost 4 cents to $3.825 and July oats fell 3 cents to $2.03. July soybeans gained 11 cents to $11.96. Beef futures traded mostly higher and pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. August live cattle inched up 0.08 cent to 82.55 cents; August feeder cattle was unchanged at 98.95 cents; July lean hogs slipped 0.23 cent to 57.07 cents; and July pork bellies fell 1.4 cents to 58.8 cents.
