Career Connection reprise set for Oct. 23

Out-of-work residents in the Lawrence area soon will get another chance to meet with potential employers, absorb job-searching advice and brush up their résumés and cover letters.

Community Career Connection is set for Oct. 23 at Pinnacle Career Institute, following up on the event’s inaugural edition conducted June 16 — one that drew about 350 participants to meet with more than 30 potential employers and seek advice from at least 100 volunteers providing job-search assistance.

The first Community Career Connection included a job fair, a variety of workshops and seminars and plenty of one-on-one assistance for people looking to improve their employment prospects.

Organizers include human-resources managers, job-search consultants and others.
