Lori Williams, director of academic review at the NCAA Eligibility Center, has been named associate athletic director for risk management by Kansas Athletics Inc.

“Because of her extensive background in eligibility and certification,” said Lew Perkins, KU athletic director, “Lori will be working very closely with our compliance staff on a daily basis.”

Perkins said Williams will also create an ongoing evaluation and reporting process that will assess identified areas of risk.

Williams has served in several roles at the NCAA since 2000, including associate director of enforcement and director of membership services. She has a bachelor’s degree from Baylor and a law degree from Texas Tech.
