Rebels Champs: Kansas Rebels won the K.C. Sports Road To Omaha U-14 baseball championship last weekend. Team members are Jacob Caldwell, Gabe Cleveland, Drew Green, Drake Hofer, Rigby McClure, Kyle McFarland, JD Prochaska, Stan Skwarlo, CJ Stuever, Brad Strauss and Shane Willoughby. Coaches are Joe Caldwell, Darren McClure, Kevin Stuever and Mike Willoughby.

Cummins Weekly Winner: Tyler Cummins fired a par 72 and edged Conrad Roberts by a stroke in the weekly Jayhawk Golf Club tournament Sunday at Alvamar. Bud Stagg was third with a 77, followed by Travis Walsh 78 and Chris Anderson 79. In net scoring, Mike Farve was low with a 71, followed by Randy Gebhards 72, Mike Naegele 73, Ed Scholtes 73 and Bill Hamilton 74.

Phenix-Fyler Third: Lawrence Phenix-Fyler U-18 softball compiled a 4-2 record and finished third at a tournament last weekend in Clay Center. Jamie Jarrett had eight hits in the six games, while Chelsea Sevigny and Taylor Simmons added seven apiece. Dana Kramer had six hits and scored seven runs. Simmons, Anna Mages and Alli New were the pitchers.

Youth Football Camp: Lawrence High and Free State football coaches Dirk Wedd and Bob Lisher will conduct a camp for youths entering grades 3-9 next week at Free State. For information call Wedd at 832-5050 or Lisher at 832-6050.
