The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Okla., has issued a tornado watch until 10 p.m. for Leavenworth, Wyandotte and Johnson counties.

The watch comes on the heels of several large tornadoes firing along a warm front that has been hovering over northern Kansas and southern Nebraska.

The storm cells were moving south and east and could move toward the counties covered by the watch.

At this time, Douglas County is not under any watches or warning.
