Kansas State names interim provost

? Ruth Dyer will serve as Kansas State University’s interim provost.

Dyer, currently K-State’s associate provost, will assume her new duties June 15.

Kirk Schulz, K-State’s incoming president, said as part of the terms of her interim appointment, she won’t be a candidate for the job. A search is under way by the university to find a provost.

The provost position became open after Duane Nellis was named president of the University of Idaho.
