Dr. James F. Otten was honored by invitation to join the most prestigious group of practitioners in his field, The American Academy of Restorative Dentistry (AARD). Otten has been practicing comprehensive dentistry in Lawrence since 1984, specializing in restorative, aesthetic and implant dentistry as well as the treatment of TMJ dysfunction.

The academy is dedicated to the ethical and scientific practice of restorative dentistry and is limited to 165 active members. Both membership and meeting attendance are by invitation only.

In addition to his private care practice, Otten also is a national lecturer on comprehensive dentistry and lead faculty member and provost of the LD Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Fla.
