K.C. to get $10.7M in proposed settlement
Kansas City, Mo. ? Kansas City would receive about $10.7 million from AT&T under a settlement agreement endorsed Wednesday by the city’s Finance and Audit Committee.
The money is part of a $49.7 million class action settlement filed several years ago by many Missouri communities.
It was prompted by items the phone company charged its landline customers but didn’t include in its gross receipts, which are used to determine how much a city gets in occupational license fees.
