USDA rural agency accepting applications

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Agency is accepting applications for grants and loan guarantees from farmers and rural small businesses to install renewable energy systems, make energy efficiency improvements, or conduct feasibility studies for a renewable energy system. The funds are administered through the agency’s Rural Energy for America Program (REAP).

The deadline for applications is July 31 and can be sent to the USDA Rural Development office for northeast Kansas: Attn: Larry Holz, 3705 Miller Parkway, Suite A, Manhattan, KS 66503, (785) 776-7582.
