Cheri Drake, an agent with McGrew Real Estate, 1501 Kasold Drive, attended a class June 18 offered by Westar Energy.

The class was designed for real estate professionals to gain knowledge on green home features in new construction and remodeling/retrofitting of existing homes. The course covered many energy efficiency components, including heating and cooling systems, appliances, building methods and materials.

Agents learned about energy audits and other cost/benefit features and their impact on the environment. Upon successful completion, Drake was awarded the EfficiencyWorks Real Estate Agent designation.
