Raiders fall short in Wichita tourney
Wichita ? The Lawrence Raiders lost to the Topeka Capitals, 8-6, on Thursday in the Wichita State tournament.
The Raiders were scheduled to play at 9 a.m., but because of rain, didn’t play until 8 p.m.
Chris Parker led the Raiders with a two-RBI double. Lawrence had the tying run on base in the top of the seventh inning but couldn’t capitalize.
The Raiders (13-19) now face Cherokee East at 3:45 p.m. today.
