Poet’s Showcase: Bill Hundley

The Robin’s Nest

By Bill Hundley

You thought of us as pests,

for a week you destroyed our work.

We only wanted to build a nest!

Then one day the father of Grandson Wes

discovered our next.

It’s a lovely nest on

the outside of the garage wall — west.

Four baby blue eggs now have a home — a nest.

A place for baby birds to grow and rest!
