Manhattan Two unearned runs cost the Lawrence Raiders Legion baseball team in a 2-1 loss against the K.C. Bullets on Thursday in the Kansas State Invitational.
“For the most part, our defense was pretty good,” Raiders coach Wilson Kilmer said. “We just had two errors, and they got a couple of hits in behind the errors. If we catch either one of those balls, we win a 1-0 game.”
Drew Noble took the loss for the Raiders, but pitched effectively. Noble tossed six innings, giving up two runs (none earned), seven hits and a walk. He struck out three.
“Drew pitched an outstanding game,” Kilmer said. “It was unfortunate we got the loss today.”
The Raiders (11-16) continue play in the KSU Invitational at 1 p.m. today against Mac-N-Seitz.

It is my understanding that the Raiders as a team only had 3 hits. You can't win many games with having only 3 hits.
Errors or not....
