Raiders pushed back to 1 a.m.

? The Lawrence Raiders legion baseball team had their game against Joplin (Mo.) in the Glen Winget Tournament delayed because of wet grounds Saturday. The Raiders were scheduled to play the game at 1 a.m. today.

“I’ve played in a game that late, but I don’t know that I’ve coached in a game that late. I told (the players) they’re all in trouble because they’re all out after curfew,” Lawrence coach Wilson Kilmer quipped. “The game’s later than any curfew we’ve had on the road. Most of them won’t have trouble staying awake, though.”

The Raiders (8-14) are 1-2 so far in the tournament.
