Raiders fall, 11-7
Bartlesville, Okla. ? The Lawrence Raiders didn’t have any problems at the plate in their first game of the Glen Winget Memorial Tournament on Wednesday. But three Lawrence errors and a potent Rogers (Ark.) offense led to an 11-7 Raiders loss.
“We need to make those plays to take pressure off our pitching,” Lawrence coach Wilson Kilmer said. “We’re still pushing to play good, crisp defense.”
Jack Bush was 2-3 with 3 RBIs, while Tanner Kilmer was 2-3 with a triple and 2 RBIs for the Raiders, who dropped to 7-13.
Lawrence will face Emporia at 11:15 a.m. today in the tournament.
