Joseph R. Gatti, a Lawrence dentist, attended the 18th annual meeting of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine on June 5-7 in Seattle.
Clinicians and researchers from nine countries presented the latest information available relating to oral appliance therapy for the treatment of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea. Dangers related to sleep apnea include daytime sleepiness, an increased risk of high blood pressure, and higher rates of heart attack and stroke.
