The Parenting Education Initiative in Lawrence has scheduled a series of seminars this spring of interest to families:

• “Sexual Activity in Teens and Surprising Criminal Consequences,” 7 p.m. Feb. 2, Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt. Presenter: Christina Jordan of Family Resolutions.

• “Internet Safety,” 7 p.m. Feb. 18, Lawrence Memorial Hospital, 325 Maine. Presenter: Brian Runk of Headquarters Counseling Center.

• “Community Resources: What’s Available and how to Access Them,” 7 p.m. March 2, Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt. Presenter: Toni Detherage, Success By 6 Coalition.

• “Child Development,” 7 p.m. April 6, Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt. Presenter: Marci Ramsay of the Douglas County Child Development Association.

• “Drug and Alcohol Use: Signs/Symptoms and What Parents Can Do,” 7 p.m. April 16, Lawrence Memorial Hospital, 325 Maine. Presenter: Katrina Harris of Heartland RADAC.
