An initial tally of students enrolled at Kansas University classes for the spring semester showed a decline of 236 from 1983. KU’s total enrollment — including the medical center — dropped from 22,929 the past spring to 22,693 in 1984. There were 19,434 on the Lawrence campus, a decline of only 78.
