It’s fun to see some Lawrence youngsters getting national media attention for doing something good.

Is there anything much cuter than a line of little boys wearing neckties?

Maybe a youngster willing to fight City Hall in favor of hedgehog rights?

Cute Lawrence kids have gotten considerable attention in the national media lately. A story about Judson King and his hedgehog found its way to national news coverage by both CNN and Fox News, and Wyatt Carson, the leader of a new necktie fashion movement at Pinckney School was a guest on the syndicated Rachael Ray Show. Both stories got their start in the Journal-World and 6News.

On one hand, some television viewers might think there are more important things going on in the world. On the other hand, what’s more important than kids — especially when they’re doing something good?
