Workshop offered for home buyers
A workshop for first-time home buyers will be today at the United Way of Douglas County building, 2518 Ridge Court.
The workshop is free and will run from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. It is sponsored by Tenants to Homeowners Inc. and Lawrence Community Housing Trust. No preregistration is required.
Among the subjects to be covered are lender and Realtor roles; qualifying for a mortgage and preapproval, credit and budgeting; and inspection and home maintenance.
