KU track shines at Arkansas Invitational

Fayetteville, Ark. — Jordan Scott, Stephanie Horton, Zlata Tarasova, Lauren Bonds, Kelsey Erb and Keith Hayes claimed individual victories for Kansas University on Friday at the Arkansas Track Invitational at the Randal Tyson Track Center.

Scott won the pole vault with an NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 17-feet, 81/2-inches. Horton won the women’s shot put at 48-10.

Tarasova edged Mississippi’s Juliana Smith for the title in the women’s weight throw at 56-1. Bonds wom the women’s 3,000 in 9:57.11.

Erb won the women’s high jump at 5-8. And Hayes won the men’s 60-meter hurdles in 8.02 seconds.

KU will play host to Missouri on Friday in the Border Dual at Anschutz Pavilion.
