Veritas girls fall to Cornerstone, 48-20

January 7, 2009

— Veritas Christian School jumped to a first-quarter lead and trailed by just a point af halftime, but two two-point quarters after the break doomed the Eagles to a 48-20 girls basketball loss Tuesday.

“We just really struggled scoring the ball in the second half,” Veritas coach Kevin Shelton said.

Becky Finger led Veritas (0-6) with five points. The Eagles will play host to Topeka Heritage on Friday.
