Kansas University’s Africana Club will be host to a Black History Month celebration for elementary and middle school children. Parents are welcome.

The event, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Percolator, 913 R.I., is in honor of Langston Hughes and will feature music and poetry sessions. A band will play a series of Hughes’ poems put to music. Refreshments will be served.
