Kansas University’s track and field team has added another member to its 2009 signing class: Corey Shank, a pole vaulter from Fort Wayne (Ind.) Northrop High. Shank brings the KU signing class total to nine, including athletes who joined for the spring semester.
He is the son of Bob Shank, who is also his high school coach. The younger Shank holds a personal best of 17 feet in the pole vault and is his high school’s top returning pole vaulter.
