Rollover accident on Kentucky causes minor injuries

Justin Goff, a Kansas University senior, suffered only a scrape on the head as after his Ford Mustang rolled over on Kentucky Street. A van hit his car on Tuesday afternoon and caused it to flip.

A rollover accident at 12th and Kentucky streets late Tuesday afternoon stopped up rush hour traffic.

Emergency crews were called to the accident just before 4:30.

24-year-old Justin Goff was driving his Ford Mustang northbound on Kentucky, when he said another driver cut him off trying to turn West onto 12th street, causing his car to flip.

“It happened so fast,” said Goff, a senior at Kansas University.

He said medical personnel were surprised his injuries weren’t more severe and that he’s very thankful things didn’t turn out worse.

“Once I realized I was OK, I thought about those movies where the car blows up, so I knew I had to get out,” he said.

Both drivers were able to walk away from the accident. Goff sustained minor cuts and bruises.

The intersection was closed for about an hour.
