A severe thunderstorm warning has expired for Douglas County, as well as northeastern Anderson, eastern Franklin, eastern Shawnee and Jefferson Counties.

A watch remains in effect for Leavenworth and Wyandotte counties until 1 p.m.

High winds and heavy rain rolled through the area around 9 a.m. Rain continued to fall in Douglas County after the current severe weather had passed.
