Sebelius sticking to normal schedule amid HHS buzz

? Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius is sticking to a normal schedule at the Statehouse amid the speculation about her future.

Sebelius is considered a leading candidate for federal health and human services secretary.

But she told reporters Monday that she has had no conversations about the job with President Barack Obama.

She said she’s still focused on her duties as governor.

Those duties included a round of proclamation signings Monday, where Sebelius occasionally bantered with people about the health and human services job.

But Sebelius said Obama is more focused on getting federal stimulus legislation approved. And she said she wants to see the Legislature pass a bill to eliminate a projected deficit in the current budget.
