Wissel, Scott lead Kansas track team

Colby Wissel led the way for the Kansas University track and field team on day two of the Husker Invitational in Lincoln, Neb., posting an NCAA provisional-qualifying mile time of 4:01.92 to win the men’s one-mile run.

With a partial squad of Jayhawks at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational in New York, Jordan Scott highlighted KU’s performances by posting a runner-up finish in the men’s pole vault, leaping 17-41/2 feet.

Freshman Corey Fuller recorded a career-best triple jump of 49-71/4 to place third.
