Waverly ? Veritas Christian School’s boys basketball team fell to Waverly High, 63-41 on Friday night. Taylor Zook scored 13 points and John Hicks 11 for Veritas.

Veritas will travel to St. Mary’s on Monday.

Waverly 71, Veritas girls 16

Waverly — Veritas Christian fell behind 20 points in the first quarter and dropped a 71-16 high school girls basketball decision.

Kirsten Bennett led Veritas with eight points.

“They were probably the best team we’ve run across all year,” Veritas coach Kevin Shelton said. “It was just a tough challenge for us tonight.”

Veritas (5-12) will travel to Shawnee to face Midland Adventist on Monday night.
