Resources available to victims of abuse

Domestic violence-related fatalities are on the rise, according to Kansas Attorney General Steve Six.

“With economic stress and financial pressure, many more families may be in crisis,” Six said. “It is critical that each of us work to ensure that families in our communities have access to quality services.”

If you or someone you know is struggling with abuse, seek assistance from law enforcement or a domestic violence program. Individuals can call 1-888-END-ABUSE for assistance.

An online directory of community resources is now available on the attorney general’s Web site at www.ksag.org.
