Lawrence youth wins calendar contest
For the second straight year, 13-year-old Jasmine Olsen of Lawrence was one of 12 winners in KU Credit Union’s Johnny Appleseed Coloring Contest.
As part of the contest, children across the country submitted a drawing promoting environmental conservation. Jasmine’s drawing will be featured as the October entry in the Johnny Appleseed Club Calendar.
The calendar and Johnny Appleseed Club membership are free to children ages 12 and under, and the program is designed to promote money management and ecological awareness.
