According to Kansas Attorney General Steve Six, domestic violence-related fatalities are on the rise in Kansas.

“With economic stress and financial pressure, many more families may be in crisis," Six said in a news release. "It is critical that each of us work to ensure that families in our communities have access to quality services. Domestic violence impacts all Kansas communities.”

If you or someone you know is struggling with abuse, seek assistance from law enforcement or a domestic violence program. Individuals can call 1-888-END-ABUSE for assistance.

To find out more about services available, call the Attorney General’s Victim Service Division at 1-800-828-9745 or visit an online directory provided by the attorney general's office.
