The Douglas County Appraiser’s office will mail the 2010 personal property assessment forms Dec. 31.

Taxpayers who own personal property, such as boats, mobile homes, large trucks, machinery and equipment, will receive the forms.

Owners must sign the forms and return them to the appraiser by March 15. Anyone who files late will be subject to a penalty.

Any taxpayers who own personal property in Douglas County but do not receive a form should call the appraiser’s office at 832-5289.
