Rita York, an employee at the Community Mercantile, 901 Iowa, has graduated from the Consumer Cooperative Management Intensive program.

York joined 12 other graduates in the program, which included a five-month curriculum that focused on training co-op managers in business skills needed to manage a co-op business.

York completed the curriculum that included in-person training, online sessions and the implementation of a project at the Community Mercantile.

The training was provided by the National Cooperative Grocers Association, which supports consumer-owned co-ops nationwide.
