Social Security card sting spurs charges

? Three men from Mexico have been charged after federal undercover agents allegedly bought fraudulent Social Security cards and permanent resident alien cards.

The U.S. Attorney’s office says the agents bought the cards in Kansas City, Kan., for $130 a set.

Thirty-two-year-old Rafael Torres-Moreno is charged with one count of possessing false U.S. identification documents and one count of selling false identity documents.

And 29-year-old Miguel Angel Mendoza-Hernandez is charged with one count of possessing counterfeit permanent resident alien cards and one count of unlawfully possessing equipment used to manufacture the fake cards.

In addition, 26-year-old Isidro Castro-Lopez is charged with one count of possessing a counterfeit permanent resident card.
