Two Jayhawks make track qualifying marks

Two Kansas University track-and-field athletes qualified provisionally for the NCAA Indoor Championships on Saturday at Anschutz Pavilion at the Jayhawks’ first meet of the season.

Mason Finley won the shot put in 19.10 meters (62 feet, 8 inches). Keith Hayes qualified provisionally in the 60-meter hurdles in 7.91.

Other KU winners: Kaman Schneider, 1,000 meters, 2:39.1; Isaiah Shiren, miles, 4:42.40; men’s 4X400 relay, 3:14.85; Jordan Scott, competing unattached, pole vault, 17-03/4; Shayla Wilson, 600, 1:25.16; women’s 4X400 relay, 3:49.49; Kelsey Erb, high jump, 5-5; Jaci Perryman, pole vault, 11-73/4; and Andrea Geubelle, long jump, 19-23/4.
