Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical responded to a white minivan engulfed in flames Saturday morning. The van, which caught on fire about 11:30 a.m., was parked just feet away from a west Lawrence doctors’ office.

Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire burning underneath the hood of van, which was sitting in the parking lot of Lawrence Family Medicine and Obstetrics, 1220 Biltmore Drive.

The fire never left the vehicle, but did destroy the front of the van.
