A $2 increase in daily room rates, effective Sept. 1, was approved by the Lawrence Memorial Hospital trustees. Also approved were $10 increases in operating and delivery room rates and a $5 minimum charge for the emergency room, up from the current $3. Room rates at LMH were to range from $24 to $30 a day under the new plan.
