Lots of crazy wind out on the southern edge of Iowa street by the SLT. Sheets of rain, and plenty of lightning. My idea of late night entertainment!

autie better put on the waders and pour another scotch. Pups may have some muddy feet, if he can go out later.

Oh hey autie, I had a special visitor this evening. My friend got a new pup. Part lab, shepherd and pinscher. Looks black like a lab with white tips on a few toes, a white zig zag on his chest, and fluffy fur like a shep..sorta..kinda Newfie-ish. Longer nose than a Lab. Very mellow and loving, at least during the time it was here. Adorable! It's going to be a therapy dog.

Here's the part you'll like. It now lives in a house with two rascally dachshunds that are thinking the new pup really doesn't deserve all those new toys, etc. I'm told the pup doesn't bark much. Of course, the dachs bark their heads off at any perceived noise...we'll see how long this one stays quiet! It's gained 1 1/2 lbs in a week... 8 )

Continuous 1-2" diameter hail, for nearly 20 mins, near Haddam, KS, about 40 miles west of Marysville.
